FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 7, 2008 -
TSRI Life Sciences, leader in the
development of advanced workforce solutions for life
sciences today announced new market expansion within
their life sciences practices to focus on clinical
research solutions. In keeping with their
strategic mission to deliver innovative solutions for
life sciences, TSRI has developed a broad portfolio of
consulting services, integrated teams, and staff
augmentation services to deliver the right person at the
right time for the right project.
According to a recent PhRMA annual
survey, pharmaceutical companies spend about 71 percent
of their total R&D budget into drug development. Of
that, spending, 45 percent is devoted exclusively to
clinical trials. In addition, half the time it takes to
move a drug through the development pipeline to the
marketplace is spent in the clinical trial phase.
Due to the significance of these figures, life sciences
companies face significant pressure to eliminate
inefficiencies that add time and complexity to
development processes. With the duration of patent
protection limited, every day that is saved in the
development stage can translate to a significant revenue
boost after a drug reaches the market.
TSRI's new clinical research
solutions will help alleviate this burden to deliver
quality, experienced resources to assist with the
significant work in this critical area. Lee Nidetz commented, "This is an important market focus
for TSRI. As companies strive to bring new
products to market faster, TSRI Life Sciences will
provide the resources needed to help our clients achieve
their objectives."
